Hello! Welcome to this blog! This is not a sponsored post - I'm just a person grateful to live here and want to promote some self-care and resilience-building offerings I'm aware of in Vic West and Esquimalt this October, including a yoga and live music event that I'm co-leading on October 26: Rest&Resonate.
OCTOBER 26: REST&RESONATE AT MUSE MIND AND BODY STUDIO
Are you tuckered out already this autumn? Attend a nourishing evening retreat featuring Yoga, Head Massage, and Sound Bath: Rest&Resonate on October 26th! Roxie Fehr of Across the Water Yoga and I (Anna Bigland-Pritchard) have been running R&R for a few months (sold out every time!) and this is our first time bringing it to MUSE Mind&Body Studio in Esquimalt.
There's room for 12 partipants in this 90 minute evening retreat. Everyone will get a head massage while being led through restorative yoga poses, and serenaded with voice and poetry. The aim of this event is to bring people who care together so we can re-centre and refocus on what matters most to us amidst the overwhelm of the polycrises of our beautiful world!

BOOK AHEAD: SERVICES AT OPAL WELLNESS
Need some 1-on-1 care, maybe you have extended health benefits? Book a service at Opal Wellness, a sanctuary on Head Street for total wellbeing. With luxury services from acupuncture, to counselling, to massage, to facials, it's a beautiful and relaxing place to take deep care of yourself. I attended a lovely deep listening event there recently, and am impressed by the level of care the owners are committed to.

TRY OUT QUEER STRENGTH AND WELCOME THIRD SPACE TO ESQUIMALT
Welcome Third Space's new location to Esquimalt and join one of their queer strength classes, or join a small group training group for weekly focus and support in taking care of your body! I learned the basics of strength training in a small group at Third Space for about a year and a half, and though I was very scared to start (having never been a "fitness person,") I soon felt inspired and supported!
