I'm excited to perform my piece "Camosun (Song for the Gorge)" at PeekShow at Impulse Theatre. It is a brand new composition by Mark Marinic set to poetry I wrote for the Gorge Waterway.
I will perform this genre-blending music while dancer Veronique Emmett brings the sparkling, soothing, rich, and resilient water of the Camosun (Gorge) Waterway to life through movement. The track is pre-created by Mark and expands traditional art-song accompaniment (which is usually just a piano and voice) to incorporate field recordings and rich watery texture through both ambient and classical sound.
