About the event

This is for folks with achy hearts as we face the climate crisis. This 1-hour, online workshop is an opportunity to hold those heavy feelings with kindness, and explore mindfulness practices as well as different art forms to nurture feelings of autonomy, power, connection, and creativity. 🌿

Gently address your feelings of eco-grief and eco-anxiety in a supportive container of folks who care about this beautiful world. We'll explore visual art, music, movement, and mindfulness to develop inner resources to process through the hard stuff, and cherish the beauty of what is still here. 💖

About Anna:

Anna Bigland-Pritchard is a voice teacher, mindfulness and expressive arts student, and a professional singer. She has led eco-mindfulness and eco-grief workshops for KAIROS Canada, University of Toronto, and Canadian Mennonite University. She runs Hummingbird Music Studio, an online voice studio with a focus on singing as self-care. Her background is in singing, community music leadership, and arts administration. She is currently a student at the WHEAT Institute, taking a certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy. Anna is a queer settler living in the traditional territoriesa of the Lekwungen peoples, land which is colonially known as Victoria, BC. Anna grew up in the UK, and the prairies. She moved to BC in 2020, where she loves tending to gardening, chickens, singing, and looking at the ocean.
